AN ENTRY INTO THE WORLD OF DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS

Intro to DMA is a single bell, single semester course divided into three parts: Photoshop, Video Editing, and Animation. The class will challenge you to be creative and problem solve as you develop a new set of skills!

Photoshop

LEARN SOME OF THE BASIC TOOLS IN PHOTOSHOP

Sample projects:
Use two images to create a new species of animal
Colorize and restore an old, black & white photo
Create a poster with all of your favorite things on it

Video Editing

LEARN TO EDIT VIDEOS IN ADOBE PREMIERE

Some things you'll do:
Learn the Ken Burns Effect
Learn how to green screen and create CGI
Add titles and audio into video

Animation

LEARN TO CREATE ANIMATIONS USING ADOBE ANIMATE

You'll lean how to do things like:
Frame by frame animation
Shape tweens
Motion tweens
Creating a character
